So, I've decided to make a blog, not only because I've been thinking about it for years, but also to have something to look forward to writing on a daily basis...along with a little help and motivation from a close friend NC. I've always had a journal, but that's for my personal keep sake. I wanted to make this blog so that I can blog about the great things that are happening in my life, my family, friends, school, work, &my TRAVELS so far ! Also to INSPIRE anyone in need.
OH, yea well duh, I should tell you a little about myself, my name is Kelsey Julian, I am from Indian Brook, Nova Scotia. I am the first grandchild in both sides of my family, Mom &Father, I have three sibilings, a sister Breanna, and two brothers Ivan & Dakota. My mom had passed away when I was five years old, it has now been about.. fifteen years since she's been gone, but I truly believe she lives through me, where ever I go, she goes, I carry her in my heart, always have and always will. I want to show her things she never had the chance to experience in her short life time, she will get the chance to live the life she never had, see things she wouldn't have ever imagined, & go places she never would've dreamed. & where ever I end up in this beautiful thing we call LIFE, she will be right by my side.
I am one of the first out of both my families to move away from home to attend Post Secondary schooling, that is just crazy unreal. I graduated this past year in 2011 from Hants East Rural High School in Milford, & I am now currently attending College in Prince Edward island, but it'll tell you a little more about that as you read on. I moved to PEI on my own in the beginning of September 2011, I actually was convinced I hadn't gotten accepted until a week and a half before classes started...I had given them the wrong mailing address, typical me. Anywho I found out through an e-mail, telling me that if I registered early I had a chance to win an Ipod touch.... trust me I could care less about that, but more about the fact that I had gotten an e-mail from HC after sitting here believing the fact that I thought I was not going to attend it this year & I would have to wait til the next...which I was very upset about :(
Anywho, Last September I moved to PEI from my hometown in NS to attend Holland College, at the CIC for Culinary Arts, I am currently done my first year and what a tremendous year that was, met such great people, and friends that I will never ever forget. & can you say the best class of LIFE, we're all such different an unique in all our own ways, yet we still had such great connections with each other, and legitimately cared about each and everyone.
I am now on my internship & living in Banff, Alberta for the summer ! Yes I've decided to move across the country for the entire summer, why ? I actually don't have an answer, it wasn't something that was planned. I was planning on heading back home for the summer, this opportunity just came upon me very spontaneously from a Chef Instructor. I couldn't let it pass me by, not something this great and beautiful, & a chance to have the time of my life.
Anyone can give up, its the easiest thing to do. But to hold it together when everyone would understand if you fell apart, that's true STRENGTH ! <3
